What do you need for Durapost Fencing and how do you install it?

Durapost fencing is a revolutionary system designed for quick and durable fence installations. This guide will walk you through the step-by-step process of installing Durapost fencing, explaining the different components and their specific purposes.

Materials Needed:

  1. Duraposts
  2. Post Caps
  3. Gravel Boards Or Z Boards
  4. Fence Panels
  5. Capping Rails
  6. U-Channel
  7. Screws
  8. Concrete (for securing Duraposts)

Step 1: Layout and Marking- Start by planning your fence layout and marking the positions where the Duraposts will be installed. Use a string line or chalk to ensure straight lines and even spacing.

Step 2: Digging Holes- Dig holes for the Duraposts at the marked positions. The depth and diameter of the holes depend on the height of your fence and local regulations. Generally, aim for a depth of at least 600mm for added stability.

Step 3: Installing Duraposts- Place the Duraposts into the holes, ensuring they are level and straight. Fill the holes with concrete to secure the Duraposts in place. Double-check alignment and adjust as necessary while the concrete sets.

Step 4: Attaching Gravel Boards- Once the Duraposts are set, attach gravel boards at the bottom. Gravel boards provide additional support, elevate the fence panels, and protect them from ground-level moisture.

Step 5: Attaching U-Channels- Use U-Channels to attach fence panels to the Duraposts. Secure the U-Brackets to the Duraposts with screws and ensure the panels are level and evenly spaced.

Step 6: Installing Fence Panels – Slot the fence panels into the U-Brackets and ensure they are securely in place. Repeat this step for all panels, maintaining consistent spacing.

Step 7: Adding Capping Rails- Finish the fence by attaching capping rails on top of the fence panels. This enhances the overall appearance, provides a smooth top surface, and adds extra protection to the panels.

Step 8: Adding Post Caps- For a polished look and additional weather protection, attach post caps to the top of each Durapost. Post caps prevent water from seeping into the post, extending its lifespan.

Conclusion: Congratulations! You’ve successfully installed Durapost fencing, creating a robust and aesthetically pleasing barrier for your space. Enjoy the durability and ease of maintenance that Durapost fencing provides for years to come.
